Introduction to Japan
I travelled around Japan for 1.5 month in 2002 and found it the most interesting thing I had ever done. Never done anything so different since then. I remember writing down all the weird things and behaviours I encountered during my trip (people bowing to each other, sake culture, the always-taking out your shoes when entering a private house, tofu and sashimi for breakfast, paper-wall houses, groups of builders exercising before a day's work...); but I never properly wrote anything about it. I just found this article about Tokyo, seen from the eyes of a European: it is a good summary of my experience in this country, although so many more could be added.
The article relates the following:
* Shopping experience in Tokyo
* Technology addiction
* Karaoke country
* Mangas
* Capsule hotels
